Rosas is easily reached by road in 13 hours from the channel ports. Alternatively, there are many flights to GERONA and BARCELONA (e.g. Easyjet and Ryanair)where car hire can easily be arranged.
50 metres away, the POOL with security gate, is available free for clients use.

Description of local area and activities: Local Amenities
This part of Rosas is known as Santa Margarita. There is an extensive canal system which stretches to the sea and whether
you have a rubber dinghy, a yacht or are just a fisherman you can find access to the water only 500 metres away. Children will enjoy playing in the warm and safe waters. The nearby wide sandy beach with hardly a building in sight extends for 15 miles to L'Escala at the other end of the bay. Santa Margarita beach continues into Rosas. Past the fishing harbour the coastline changes to steep cliffs and small sandy coves so typical of the Costa Brava. Close by you
can find a large supermarket, an aqua park, minigolf and go-karting. Golfers can choose between the 7 championship courses that are all within a short distance.
Food, Shopping and Trips
Catalan cuisine has some wonderful dishes and all the local restaurants serve excellent value meals, (e.g. £5 for a 3-course menu), so this means that you can eat out most of the time. If however, you feel like a night in, the fishing boats return
to Rosas at 4.30p.m.daily except Sunday, so why not use the barbecue? Supermarket prices are very reasonable too, and
alcohol and tobacco are of course bargains. Petrol and diesel are much cheaper than at home !
A trip to San Marti (10 miles) where the Olympic flame arrived in 1992 is a must. The village has a delightful old
square with restaurants. Nearby are the well preserved ruins of Ampurius which are well worth a visit. The picturesque
town of Cadaques (9 miles), is famous as the setting for the surrealist art work of Salvador Dali. In Figueras you can find
his museum , the 2nd most visited in all of Spain. Further afield are Girona and Barcelona, and as rail travel is cheap, consider it as a means of visiting them. Heading into the mountains there are numerous other attractive towns and villages,
and if you feel really adventurous, then 'tax-free' Andorra is 125 miles away. Not far from Tarragona is Port Aventura,
a Disneyland type theme park where a good day's entertainment is guaranteed for all. Finally, don't forget France and the
area around Perpignan, which has its own special charm.
