Description inside property: Gite Alexandre has been awarded 3 stars by the Department of Tourism. It sleeps 4 adults with the possibility of a cot for a baby, it consists of a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, sitting room with television receiving English free to air TV, DVD & Video player, CD/radio. Upstairs there is one double & one twin each having their own ensuites shower & toilet.
Description outside property: Gite Alexandre shares the drive way with the owners but has it's own parking & private garden.
You have use of the owners pool however any children using the pool are your responsibility.

| Description of local area and activities: Gite Alexandre is in a quiet village called Simacourbe which is 20mins north of Pau. We are at the base of the Pyrenees so there is a sport/activitiy for everyone. We have great vineyards around us and there are many domains to visit to taste the local wines. We are 20mins from Pau with it's lovely Chateau & Park. We are 1hr 40 from the Spainish border, 1hr 45 from Biarritz & 20mins from Lourdes. We have 2 race tracks near by so if you are a Motorcyclists why not come & enjoy a track day & rides in the Pyrenees. |

Notes: Pau Golf club is approx 35mins away & is an 18 hole course created in 1856 by the architect Willy Dunn & is the oldest in Continental Europe [excluding Britian]. A great historic course not to be missed with a couple of drives across the Gave de Pau PAR 69 5314m.
Blue Green Golf de Pau Artigulouve is approx 35mins away at the foot of the Pyrenees a splendid 18 hole course laid out in natural surroundings with 7 water obstacles & Palm trees to avoid this tight & technical challenging course & will demand the best of your abilities whatever your level PAR 70 5850m
Golf du lac de Lourdes is approx 45mins away an 18 hole course created in 1988 & is beautifully situated on the southern bank of the lake of Lourdes & 4kms from the town centre. Each hole of this woodland course offers magnificent views of the Pyrenees & offers a variety of challenges to the golfer who appreciates a technical & physical round PAR 71 5600m There are many more beautiful courses within easy reach of the Gite |

Notes: We are ideally placed for Skiing/Snowboarding whatever your level there are Ski/Snowboard schools at all resorts & the prices are very reasonable for equipment hire, lift passes & lessons.
Gourette is approx 1hr 20 & the station is at 1400-2400m it has 25 pistes in 90 hectares & has been updated with 16 ski lifts, with an area for beginners, a snow park, 150 snow cannons & an altitude restaurant great fun for all.
Artouste-Fabrèges approx 1hr 20 & the station is at1400-2100m opposite the Pic du Midi d’Ossau. Artouste is a small resort with it’s high altitude & village on the banks of lake Fabrège, there are 15 pistes set in 150 hectares, snow park & altitude restaurant for those who love snow sports in the depths of nature.
Cauterets is approx 1hr 30 at 1850-2350m & I would say the better known ski resort by us Brits, it has 21 pistes, snow park & 2 altitude restaurants.

Notes: I would say this is great motor biking country as we have the beautiful Pyrenees to explore & great roads. We are near to Pau Arnos & Nogaro Race tracks so if you fancy booking a track day before you arrive it's great fun.
However it's just not for motorbikes, it's also great cycling & if you follow the Tour de France you will know Pau is on the map. If you are a walker or a climber then the National Park of the Pyrenees is within easy reach. No matter what type of holiday you are looking for Gite Alexandre is the place for you. |

| Notes: We prefer Saturday changeovers however should you wish to arrive on a different day then please ask & we can advise you the cost of the Gite as a supplement will be payable. To book 25% of the full amount is required as deposit which is non-refundable. Balance due 8 weeks before start of rental period. We require a secuirity deposit of £150.00 which will be refunded within 2 weeks of the end of your stay. In the event of cancellation, refunds can only be made if the property is re-let therefore we advise customers to have insurance to cover this. Towels & linen are included in the price & a welcome pack of Tea Coffee etc is also included. PLEASE NOTE FOR RENTALS DECEMBER - MARCH THERE IS A SUPPLEMENT PAYABLE FOR THE ELECTRICITY. |
