It is set on a hilltop and retains its original character and charm with beamed ceilings, wooden shutters and thick original walls which keep the apartment interior cool in the hot summer months. Outside there are 2 private terraces surrounded by mature gardens with olive, almond and pomegranate trees where you can find the sun or shade through the day.
Lubrin village is just a few minutes walk and has a good choice of Spanish Tapas Bars & Restaurants as well as supermarkets and banks. Market day is on a Wednesday and is a real social event as well as an opportunity to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and haberdashery.

Description of local area and activities: Lubrin is located about 1 hour cross country from Almeria Airport or 2 hours motorway/cross country from Alicante or Murcia Airports. The well known beach resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha which are just 45 minutes away by car. The more Spanish resorts of San Juan Torres and Aquilas (to the North) and Carboneras, Agua Marga and San Jose ( to the South) are about an hour away.
Places of Interest include The ancient Andalusian city of Almeria, Cuevas de Almanzora for its cave houses and Tabernas for its magnificent Desert National Park. At Tabernas is a Westen Theme park on the site of the Clint Eastwood Movies! The Gabo de Gata National Park is about an hour away
Lubrin is just 30mins from the Almeria- Seveilla Motorway so that Granada, Sierra Nevada and the Alpuharras are just over 2 hours away and the skiing and walking seasons adds another dimension to life in Lubrin. Andalucia also offers such cultural gems as Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz which are no more than 4 hours |
