Description of local area and activities: Jimera de Líbar, near historic Ronda, lies in a wide valley with mountains around. This is a little-known but really welcoming spot. The house is one of twenty (all four years old). Rarely more than 30% of these houses are occupied. Right next to the River Guadiaro. The area is a favourite with birdwatchers. Right outside the house you face the Sierra de Líbar Mountains. You are not cut off. Jimera village is only 1.5 km, with bars, a hotel with restaurant, bank, pharmacy and two shops. Besides the train line, good roads take you to the village of Cortes de la Frontera, only 7 kms, with every convenience, eg cash machines, petrol, even Internet cafe. There are historic caves 5 kms and 11 kms away. |
