Description of facilities: Although we don't have a separate cd player the DVD player can play audio cds.

Description inside property: The accommodation is on the 1st and 2nd floors of a chalet. The 1st floor comprises of a spacious sitting room / dining area with wood burning stove.

Spacious Kitchen with integral oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, circular table with chairs.
Shower room and separate WC.
2nd Floor:-
Bedroom 1 with 1 x double and 1 x single bed.

On the ground foor there is use of a drying room and an area to store skis and boots etc.
Electric central heating with the addition of a wood-burning stove in the 1st floor apartment.
On the ground floor there is also a separate studio apartment available to let.

Description outside property: There is a fairly large grassed area shared by the ground floor studio apartment.
The property is located in the peaceful hamlet of Frogy, surrounded by beautiful mountains, 10 minutes walk fom the village of Abondance.

Description of local area and activities: The Portes du Soleil area (a hikers’ and mountain bikers’ paradise). Châtel’s fantasticâble' (giant zip wire) live the legend of birdman. guaranteed thrills! This is a valley with a strong natural character: an amazing untouched site, a protected setting between Lac Léman (Lake Geneva) and the Chablais mountains. A land of art and history which has managed to preserve its architectural treasures and mountain traditions. The valley is the birthplace of the “Abondance” cow which produces milk to make cheese of the same name (AOC listed). Leisure Activities - Skiing

Notes: Snow dependent you can ski to and from the chalet to the local lift system, or you can take a 10 minute free bus ride to the main Portes du Soleil ski area.From Chatel & Super Chatel the lifts link into the quiet Torgon area or you can take the clockwise route through Switzerland via Morgins & Champery to Avoriaz. There are numerous cross country skiing tracks, some 50kms in Val d'Abondance alone. An additional 35kms of sign posted walking trails around the area offer a different challenge. The ski schools are at Super Chatel directly above Chatel village, this is where the beginners classes take place. The lift systems throughout the valley are linked by a bus service which is covered by your Portes du Soleil lift pass. All the usual skiing equipment, cross country skis and snow shoes can be hired.
