Description of facilities: We always have a good selection of books, cd's and dvd's. Tourist information, leaflets etc are always available. We also have recommended lists of local restaurants, local food suppliers, market days etc.
Description inside property: The old stone farmhouse has been finished to the very highest standards, using only quality materials. Period light fittings and furniture have been used to create a homely, comfortable atmosphere.
The bathrooms are tiled floor to ceiling and both have walk-in, wet room style showers. The bathrooms are large, light and airy. Toilet rooms are located separately, also completely tiled.
The period style dining room and exterior dining terrace are both located through french doors off the well equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave, extra large fridge and all the accessories you would need.
All the floors are tiled and the walls finshed in a natural material consisting of chalk and sand. Hot water is supplied by means of our solar panels, backed up by gas.
The huge living room has satelite television, stereo and a good selection of cd's and dvd's. There is also a writing desk. All the rooms face south and look out over the vineyards to the Corbieres hills.
Description outside property: We have an outside dining terrace overlooking the river. There are six chairs around a large dining table, a small rock garden, vine and a barbeque.
To the front is a large flat garden, next to the river, overlooking the vineyards, with views to the Corbieres hills. There is a dining area with another barbeque and sun loungers.
To the side is a river garden, with steps down the rocks to the natural rockpool for swimming. The holistic room is also located in a dedicated room next to the river.
Description of eco friendly facilities: We recycle everything here, glass, plastic, paper, cardboard and tins collected weekly. Plastic bottle tops we recycle, made into wheels for wheelchairs. We have three compost bins on the go at any one time. We water the garden with natural water from a well, located near the river. All our toilets are low water usage. Dishwasher, washing machine. kettle all have programs to use small amount of water. The house is even insulated under the ground floor. All windows are double glazed.
