Description inside property: Our house was built in 2004 incorporating a self contained apartment. The apartment is suitable for two people only and has one bedroom with an en suite shower room, a kitchen, lounge and dining area.
The apartment is fully equipped with satellite television, DVD, Hi Fi, Fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, oven and hob etc. Bed linen and towels are provided.
There is also a bar available for your use
Full central heating is installed for anyone looking for a Winter break. During the summer months you will have use of the pool and equipment including sun beds, parasol etc. (pool closes at midnight).
There is a set of golf clubs and a trolley in the apartment if required. Please let us know before your arrival if they are needed.
A welcome pack is provided on your arrival including a bottle of wine, eggs, milk, bread, butter etc.

Description of local area and activities: Barx and La Drova are situated in the high valley of La Safor, between the mountain ranges of Buixcarro and Monduver, at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, and enjoys a pleasant climate. Barx forms part of the community of the Validigna 'Mancomunidad de la Validigna' made up of the villages of Tavernes, Simat, Benifairo and Barx. A territory with its own identity, united by common history.
Our house is situated in the centre of La Drova approx. 4 min drive (20min walk) from the village of Barx with its many bars and shops including two small supermarkets, butchers, bakers, tobacconist, bank, chemist etc.
There is a bar/restaurant just around the corner from our apartment which is renowned for its Paellas and meat dishes.
La Drova has a typical Mediterranean climate, there are approximately three thousand hours of sunshine each year. The gentle temperatures provide an ideal year round climate with mild winters and delightful springs, further north the thermometers plummet and further south the summer heat can be unbearable. La Drova is located fifteen minutes drive from Gandia and the 7 kilometres of award winning Blue Flag beaches of La Safor. The international airports of Alicante (1 1/2hrs) and Valencia (40 minutes) are close by and easily accessible via the excellent arterial A7 motorway. Madrid is four hours drive.
La Drova must rank as one of the most beautiful, secluded and convenient urbanisations in Spain. Set some 1,500’ up in the mountains, La Drova rests within a lush valley bounded by mountains on two sides. Monduber, the highest mountain at 847m (2,500’+), dominates the area with its sharp summit clearly visible from all directions.
Five minutes drive takes one to the charming and ancient village of Barx where a traditional and vibrant Spanish life continues, as it has for generations.

La Drova itself has a bar/restaurant and an excellent and well run sports centre which has a large swimming pool, tennis court and a games facility. Wonderful walking, climbing and cycling exist in an area with air so clear and unpolluted that that the stars at night gleam with an intensity barely known in the UK.
This is an area that will absolutely seduce even the most hard hearted international traveller.
