Description of local area and activities: Estuary House is perfect for large family gatherings and has been very popular this year for 60th and 70th birthday celebrations. With a huge 28' sitting/dining room and separate library there's plenty of room for everyone to have their own personal space. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped and is adjacent to the sitting/dining area so you don't feel cut off from everyone else while preparing your gastronomic delight! All the bedrooms are light and airy, recently refurbished in contemporary style and all bedlinen and towels are included.
The swimming pool is heated to 27 degrees (81) from Easter to the end of September and uses the latest automatic dosing equipment which constantly monitors water quality ensuring perfectly balanced chlorine levels at all times. The estuary is accessed at the bottom of the garden and you can walk alongside the water on the shale beach collecting oysters from the rocks as you go, or cast a line out into the water and catch something for dinner.
The house is situated just one mile from the pretty 17th century village of Le Faou making it a doddle to wander down there for your morning baguette and croissants. There are 5 restaurants selling everything from a simple pizza (takeaway available) to a 5-star gourmet feast. Sit outside one of the creperies and just watch the world go by or take a trip to Quimper, Concarneau or Locronan and see some of the gorgeous sights that Brittany has to offer. |
