Boules court to test your skill, bat & ball games, frizbees, croquet, quality outdoor table tennis table, kite flying are available in our large 1.5 acre garden. Or simply relax by the pool on a hammock and enjoy the wonderful views of the beautiful countryside and fields of sunflowers/vines.
Bed linen and towels are provided. Pool towels are also available on request at no extra cost.
A wood burning fire adds ambiance in the cooler periods, and makes it suitable for winter lets for those wishing to house-hunt in the area.
All utilities are included in the price of the rental and a Welcome Pack is provided for weary travellers on arrival.

Gite 1 - Fauvette - Sleeps 2 to 8. There is an inter-connecting door door to Gite 2 - Souris-, sleeping 6 to enable a group to take over both gites, sleeping 14 in all.
Spacious accommodation. Open plan ground floor with shower room and toilet, large lounge and fully equipped kitchen. (inc cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, and microwave).
Impressive dining area opened up through to exposed roof beams. Separate utility room with washing machine, iron, ironing board etc.
Fauvette is equipped with Satellite TV/HD DVD and expanding DVD library. Internet access (Broadband) enabled. Books and games also provided.
First Floor - Three large double bedrooms, one with a King Size double bed and two with twin beds. A second shower room and toilet. All rooms lead from the mezzanine. There are two foldaway beds available if required. All rooms have views over the pool, garden and unspoilt countryside.
Description outside property: Large Patios and Garden, ideal for late summer outside meals. Enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the warm summer evenings.

Description of local area and activities: There is an abundance of activities and sight seeing waiting for you to discover.
Plan D'Eau, a large leisure lake on the outskirts of Angoulême (20 mins away), has cycling, fishing, boating, sailing, swimming and wind-surfing facilities.
Picturesque Brantome (35 mins away) is a popular haunt and has river cruises, canoe hire, cafés/restauarants, a market, boutique shops, and well worth spending a day there.
Aubeterre-sur-Dronne (40 mins away) is a beautiful medieval village, reputed to be the prettiest in the Charentes, and harbours the finest underground church in Europe. The village has interesting boutiques covering a wide range of crafts, and several cafés/restaurants for you to savour local cuisine. Situated on the Dronne, there is a man-made beach with real sand, fresh water to swim in, and a lifeguard for safe swimming.
Sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast can be found at Royan (1H30mins away), which also has a zoo and aquarium.
The Velo Rail (cycle rail) is a good day out, and only 40 mins away at Roumazieres. Don't forget to take a picnic !
Well known 'Futurescope', on the outskirts of Poitiers (1H30mins away) is also well worth putting on your list of places to visit.
A must for your sight-seeing list is ancient Angoulême (20 mins away). It is the home of Comic Strip and has many cafês/restaurants to suit every taste, as well as boutiques, shops, museums and history. Take a stroll around the ramparts or relax on cruise down the Charente.
For wine lovers, the vineyards of Bordeaux are 1H30 mins away. Local producers abound close by where you can taste and buy wines and the local, well-known Pineau des Charentes.
Cognac is famous for its brandy, and the big producers have structured tours with tastings to complete the experience. A trip from here is a mere 30 mins on quiet, trouble-free roads.

Notes: To reserve the property, clients are required to complete a booking form within 10 days of receipt, together with a 25% non-refundable deposit. The balance of the rent is payable not less than 8 weeks before the start of the rental period.
Saturday to Saturday change over. Clients are requested not to arrive before 5 p.m. and to leave by 10 a.m. on their day of departure.
Towels and bed linen are provided, as well as beach towels for the pool. All utilities are included in the price.
