Description inside property: External stairs lead to the initial entry to the house and the spacious living / dining room area. The immediate features of this room are the two large glass sliding doors leading out to the balcony. Besides the magnificent sea views, this side of the house captures the am sun. It is an ideal spot to relax watching the ships go by whilst enjoying your breakfast or listening to the waves crashing against the nearby cliffs in the evening with a glass of wine in your hand.
The living room leads to the kitchen / breakfast area fully equipped with all the appliances and recently installed units.
Leading down from the same room to the basement area is the utility room and a large garage.
On the first floor there are two double bedrooms and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have windows offering views of the sea. A landing area also has a single bed in a secluded section offering further sleeping options. Within the landing area is a small reading area.

Description of local area and activities: The beach is literally a minutes walk away as is a bar / creperie and a 3 star restaurant. The local supermarket is also handily located 5 minutes and can easily be reached to fetch fresh croissants for breakfast or wine to enjoy in front of the large windows overlooking the sea.
The coastal walks which stretch for many kilometres in all directions also offer stunning views and the surrounding areas area abundant with fine sandy beaches.
Pointe du Raz, 10 minutes drive west of Plogoff is a dramatic place of crashing waves and strong winds. "The end of the world" as described by local people it is the westernmost point in France.
The local seaside resort Audierne, is within easy reach and was once a thriving fishing port and a major centre for the distribution of sardines throughout the world. It is no longer as busy but still maintains a small fishing fleet and supplies many of the local restaurants with fresh produce. As well as a variety of venues offering fine cuisine the town also has an "Aquashow" aquarium which is open between April and September, a maritime museum and a cinema. Boat trips to the Ille de Sein, a little island just over an hour away, take place regularly during the same period. Shops are available but the wider choice can be found in QUIMPER, a busy cathedral town some 40 kms away.
Quimper has a rustic atmosphere with charming footbridges spanning the rivers that flow through it. It is famous for its H B Henriot pottery and has both a shop and museum. A spectacular 13th - 16th century gothic cathedral dominates the centre of the town and to the cathedrals west are the pedestranized streets of Vieux Quimper with a wide array of creperies, half timbered houses and shops.
The Parc de Loisirs amusement park just outside Landudec (28 kms away) offers everything from jogging (or walking!) around the lake to an extensive range of amusements including a waterslide, luge run, swings, slides, trampolines, bouncy castles, a pedal go cart track, and more. If that all sounds too much, simply take a pedalo out on the lake and watch it all happening from there! The bar is situated in the same area, and organised entertainments take place there in June, July and August, away from the living area of the site.
Travel back in time in LOCRONAN a small village 40 kms from Plogoff with its 16th and 17th century town-houses and the beautiful Gothic church. All electric and telephone cables are buried underground to maintain its pre modernisation authenticity and charm.

Notes: Audierne offers beach classes for surfing, wind surfing, sailing and diving.
The village of Pont-Aven (80 kms away) is well famous for its painting history. It was at the end of the nineteenth century when Gaugin produced here some of his finest work and created the "Synthetism" school which followed the Impressionists during the period 1886-90. |
