Description of facilities: We also provide a range of outside games, such as Boule and also some games for smaller children.

Description inside property: Gite Crieron is a lovely restored stone barn maintaining all its charm and character, built around 1800 it nestles in the Gueyze valley amid open countryside. Decorated and furnished with care and attention, the accommodation has been finished, decorated and equipped to a high standard. The extensive accommodation sleeps up to five people, offering a large and well equipped open plan kitchen/dining room, separate lounge and two large bedrooms both with en-suite facilities. Bedroom one has a bathroom with shower over, toilet and wash basin. Bedroom two has a separate shower, toilet and wash basin. Throughout the property care has been taken to co-ordinate the furnishings and decor offering a light and contemporary environment. The property has exposed beams in all rooms and feature stone walls on the ground floor. All upstairs rooms have polished wood floors and tiled floors elsewhere

Description outside property: The property is surrounded by gardens on three sides. Guests have their own garden areas to the font, back and pool side of the gite. There are seating and eating areas to the front and by the pool. We also provide pool loungers for those who wish to take some sun. We are also pleased to offer our guests discounted hire rates on bicycles. Bicycles can be hired at the time of booking or hired during your stay and come complete with safety helmets. We will be pleased to provide information on request.

Description of eco friendly facilities: We have tried to make the gite both welcoming and comfortable for our guests, but have not compromised on taking measures to ensure that the impact made on the environment by the accommodation is as small as possible. As well as the eco items listed, we also have a salt/chlorine pool system that uses much lower concentrates of chlorine and thus far less chlorine evaporation into the atmosphere.

Description of local area and activities: Gite Crieron is conveniently situated in the south of the Lot-et-Garonne at the point close to the departments of Landes and Gers; the village of Sos with full amenities is a short walk away. The relaxed atmosphere and extremely friendly country people make this a perfect area to unwind. Walk freely amongst the vines, forests and valleys of this region. Dine at the many great restaurants with choices from the traditional French brasserie or bistro to fine haute de cuisine. Canoeing is available at Mezin and canal boats can be hired at Nérac. For a truly relaxing experience visit Barbotan-les-thermes hot springs. For motor sport enthusiasts, the Nogaro circuit is 23 Km away offering a full motor sport calendar. This area has many wonderful medieval towns and villages to discover and explore including historic riverside market towns, hilltop villages, Bastides and Roman garrison towns. Throughout the summer months there are many local activities. These include art exhibitions, family activities and wonderful night markets selling local food and wine and regional crafts. There are also many wonderful towns and cities to visit such as Auch, Bordeaux, Toulouse and Pau all within a few hours drive. The Pyrenees are also only a couple of hours away, so is the wonderful Atlantic coast of France renown for its surfing.

Booking Information

Notes: We understand that flight and ferry prices can be higher at weekends, so we offer fully flexible booking arrangements. All towels and bed linen is included in the price other than pool towels. If space or weight is a problem when traveling we can supply pool towels at a small extra charge of €6 per person per week. An additional security deposit of €250-00 (£170-00) or equivalent currency, against any breakages is payable at the time the balance payment is due. This deposit, or balance of deposit will be returned to the party leader (the name of the person on the booking confirmation form) within 7 (seven) working days of departure. A 100 Euros per week (14 Euros per night) heating supplement is payable on all bookings made between November and January and February and April.
