Description inside property: Prat Long is a 19th century stone built house set in 8 hectares nestling in the Cerou river valley at the edge of the Gresigne Forest. The stunning medieval hilltop town of Cordes-sur-Ciel is 5kms from the property, where all the local amenities can be found.
At Prat Long, you can relax and enjoy your surroundings as guests of Sally & Richard, who like to provide a homely atmosphere in comfortable accommodation.
Hayloft Gite is well equipped for all seasons.
It consists of two comfortable bedrooms( 1double & one twin), a large shower room & WC, a second WC, a fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances and a large open plan sitting/dining room. It has central heating, double glazing, a private entrance and a large parking area.
The sitting/dining room retains some of the original beams, stone walls and the high ceiling giving the room a light and airy feel.
French doors lead onto the balcony which overlooks the garden, stream, fields and woods of Prat Long. This provides a delightful area to sit or dine out of doors.
A wood burning stove provides a cosy feel to the room during the winter months. There is double glazing throughout the property and radiators in all rooms, except the cloakroom and kitchen.
The dining area is furnished with a large round table, 4 chairs with cushions and a pine dresser.
The sitting area has a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a wood burnng stove, rugs, coffee tables and a small lamp, a television, a DVD player, a small stereo system, boxed games and plenty of books.
On the balcony, there is a table and four chairs. It is a lovely place for those sundowners and to dine ‘al fresco’, as is the sheltered terrace, which also has a table and four chairs, and a barbecue.
The two comfortable and bright double bedrooms are situated off the tiled hallway. One has a standard sized double bed, and the other, twin beds (90x190cms). Each room has a wardrobe, a chest of drawers with a mirror above, a bedside cabinet or table, a chair and two bedside rugs.
Across the hall, is the modern shower room which has a large corner shower, a cupboard with mirrored doors above the basin, a toilet and two wooden stools. The separate cloakroom has a toilet and hand basin.
Towels and bed linen are supplied.
The good sized kitchen has been fitted to a high standard with plenty of cupboards, worktop space and appliances. There is a large fridge/freezer, a microwave, an electric oven, an electric and gas hob with an extractor above, a dishwasher, a toaster, a filter coffee maker. An iron and ironing board are in the hall cupboard.
Laundry facilities are available in the main house.
A private pathway leads from the parking area to the terrace and steps which take you up to the apartment and balcony. The gardens, woods and surrounding fields are there for you to explore or relax and watch the birds, butterflies and the occasional wild animal visitor.
Evening meals are available, on reservation, and homemade 'take-away' dishes.
