Description inside property: Kernormand translates to "Home of the Vikings". It must be one of the most beautiful farms in the area.
Set in it's own valley and just 10 minutes walk from the town of Callac , Kernormand benefits from the tranquility of the countryside but still has the conveniences of the town. It also has its very own ancient viking fortress ruin.
Our gite has just been renovated from top to bottom and is now ready to accept visitors.
If you love animals and the countryside you'll love Kernormand.
The renovation was finished at the end of 2007 . The builders retained the feel of this ancient stone building whilst creating a superbly modern interior with fully insulated and boarded walls and ceilings.
The spacious rooms with velux windows are light, airy and instantly relaxing.
And the original fireplace with new wood burner makes a welcome feature for Christmas gatherings.... Our Christmas and new year rate includes a traditional Christmas or New year feast for 4 people!
The gite is right next to our main house but has it's own garden with access to a large splash pool in the summer months fed by a spring.
Description outside property: Make yourself at home in this tranquil garden. Here you can barbeque, enjoy the splash pool or simply watch the animals in the fields around..

Description of local area and activities: Callac is in the center of Brittany so has easy acess to most activities in the area. this area has many documented walks and organised walks can be joined in the town throughout the summer.
There is a lively market in the town (just 10 mins to walk) every Wednesday, and our town of Callac has it's own municipal pool, large lake for fishing, and a cinema. |
