Description inside property: Alsagra,is a lovely restored stone farmhouse in the Umbrian hillside and close to the Tuscany border. Nestling in an olive grove, surrounded by Chestnut and Oak woodland overlooking the village of San Giovanni Del Pantano the peace and tranquillity is only surpassed by the outstanding views of the Umbrian countryside. Recently restored and modernised yet retaining many traditional features with wooden beamed ceilings and typically Italian tiled flooring, Alsagra has been converted into a home for Steve, Helen and their family and three self contained apartments. On a secluded hillside terrace is a wonderful and serene infinity effect heated swimming pool surrounded by a large patio area with sun loungers on which to relax and admire the amazing and typically Umbrian views. The area is fenced with access via a gate. A restored bread oven is in regular use for Pizzas and homemade bread for those adventurous guests. As featured in the 'Italian' Magazine .
This apartment has been designed to cater for four guests.
There is a master bedroom with double bed and second bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms have a built in wardrobe with plenty of hanging and shelf space and storage for suitcases.
There is a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven and hob.
This apartment has it own private patio dining area outside the kitchen with wonderful panoramic views making for a pleasurable dining experience.
Throughout this apartment there are high wooden ceilings, tiled flooring and wonderful views over the nearby valleys.
Description outside property: The surrounding area of the apartments is terraced with olive groves and an enclosed heated swimming pool built on the side of the hill giving the ‘infinity effect’. The views from the pool are far reaching and on a wonderful sunset makes for amazing photographs. Each apartment is South facing and has its own leisure area with seating provided for eating or relaxation. Large areas outside make socialising easy along but secluded and include a barbecue and comfortable furniture.
Alsagra is centrally located for all the attractions such as Assisi, Perugia and hill top towns and villages

Description of local area and activities: Walking: Within 30 minutes walk there is a historical Etruscan Tomb. There are excellant marked trails in the Monte Tezio National Park which is only a 10 minute drive away. Alternatively there are many walks for your apartment which can provide 360 degree views of the valleys and nearby silent monestry.
Olive Picking - November. Enjoy the olive parties and help us harvest our olives during November. Truffle and Porcini season as well.
Cycling: There are numerous trials and white roads to explore for both the adventurous and novice mountain bikers.
Sailing: Lago Trasimeno (30 minutes drive). |
