Description outside property: La Ganne is situated on the border of the Dordogne and Limousin regions of France within easy reach of local airports at Limoges and Bergerac.
We are situated just on the outskirts of Thiviers which is the hub of the local community, a busy little market town famous for it's fairs all year round and the Saturday market which sell anything from foie gras, trout and truffles to strawberries, apples and walnuts that are all locally produced - This is definitely worth a visit!

| Description of local area and activities: Set in a stunning rural location we can now share with you over 18 acres of private grounds, our very own Lake and woodland. If you want to renture out to visit local attractions these vary from many grand chataux's, vine yards and Troglodyte caves (near brantome). We are situated 25 minutes from Perigeuex which is definately worth a visit not only for it's shops and it's markets but for the grande buildings and beautiful catherdral that were all built on top of Roman ruins. |

Notes: Fishing - we can provide you with fishing right on your doorstep in our lake! We can provide you with the equipment and show you the best spots on the lake for catching the biggest fish! Unfortunately you can't eat the fish; they need to go back in the water ready for your next expedition!
Cycling - The nearby tourist town of Brantôme and the village of St Jean de Cole are a few minutes away and bicycle hire is available here and at La Coquille. You can choose from a sedate pedal around town or mountain biking in the countryside, there is something to satisfy all the family.
Wildlife - Because of the rural location of La Ganne there is no shortage of wildlife and bird watching opportunities. We frequently see deer feeding by the lake and in and around our woodland. |
