Description outside property: The garden is a beautiful, safe, acre and a half soutwest-facing lawn, ideal for playing ball games. There are several mature fruit trees (cherries, plums, pears, wallnut) at the edges of the property and guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruits - it they are lucky to be there in season.

Description of local area and activities: Less than 3 miles from Malansac is the picturesque medieval village of Rochefort-en-Terre. It has beautiful architecture, including a chateau, cobbled streets, interesting shops as well as a good choice of restaurants and creperies. Nearby is the “Moulin Neuf”, a lovely 50-acre lake with safe sandy beach, tennis and boules courts.
There is also a popular Prehistoric Park (Parc de Prehistoire) just outside Malansac, in the direction of Rochefort-en-Terre. The park is always a favourite with the children, with its beautiful setting, fascinating scenes and information about dinosaurs and the evolution of mankind in Brittany. |
