Upstairs are two bedrooms [both with country views]1 twin bedded, 1 double bed and shower room with washbasin & wc, there is a fold away cot and large baby bath if required for toddlers.
Description outside property: There is a courtyard parking area at the front of the gite and to the rear a large garden area with pool [unheated], gazebo and outdoor dining facilities etc. You are surrounded by wonderful country views and may even see the occasional deer coming down from the woods to graze in the farmers field next door.

Description of local area and activities: Montignac is a pretty and lively historic market town, spanning both sides of the Vezere river its buildings date back to the 14th century, on the left bank the old priory and convent are reminders of it's past commercial importance when it was a terminus river port.
There are festivals and exhibitions held throughout the season making it a ideal family base in high season, whilst peaceful at other times. The banks of the Vezere are the backdrop to a magnificent firework display annually on the evening of 14th July [Bastille Day] whilst at the end of July Montignac holds the annual Folk/Dance festival and it's streets are alive with dancers and music from all over the world. The Vezere Valley has been classified 'foremost prehistoric site in the world' by UNESCO and is full of history and architectural treasures, plus you are central for a wealth of tourist attractions to suit all age groups and tastes, from chateaux to gabarre cruises, wine tasting to adventure playgrounds, lazing on a lakeside beach to horse riding the choice is yours. |
