La Grange is a large detatched farmhouse, renovated in a traditional style. Light and airy throughout and cool inside during the summer heat!
Through the front door into the entrance hall with separate toilet - the ground floor is fully tiled. A fitted kitchen with farmhouse table, large gas stove, dish-washer & washing machine, fridge/freezer, microwave. High chair.
The spacious, comfortable lounge, with TV & video plus large video & book libraries, four armchairs & 2 x 3 seater sofas ,,has a wood burning stove and French doors leading out to the patio.
From the hallway stairs lead up to a galleried landing off which there are three twin rooms, one double room, one queen room, shower room and french bathroon/shower with toilet. A furnished veranda overlooks lakes & woodland for sipping your evening beverages!
The French doors from the lounge lead onto a patio with large wooden table/sunshade and to a private courtyard with BBQ, tables & chairs, cushioned sun loungers and your fenced, pool. (10x5mts) with floaties!
La Grange has a private driveway and parking area, plus lawned area.
Sleeps 6 - 10 people, cots & child gates available.
All bed linen and bath and hand towels included.
A welcome package of tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, butter, conserve, beer & btl wine will be waiting for you.

The beautiful surrounding countryside has miles of bridle paths, plenty of wildflowers & wildlife and is excellent for bird watching.
Quiet but not isolated.
Lapouge is 1km from the village of St Estèphe which has a bakery, post office minemarket and general store.
La Grand Etang (Lake) has a moored diving platform, boardwalks and picnic areas, cafés, bars & restaurant. In the high season there is a lifeguard, free canoes & kayaks.
Local horse riding and fishing can be easily arranged.
The market town of Piégut, 5kms, has banks, supermarkets, petrol, restaurants, cafés & bars. There is also a huge market each Wednesday morning.
Nontron, 9kms, famous for making knives (the factory is open for visits) has all main facilities and a Saturday morning market.
The beautiful town of Brantôme, the Venice of the Dordogne, is a 30min drive and along with Bourdeilles offers many historic sites, chateaux, caves, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking. You can canoe or take a boat ride around the island town of Brantôme or canoe downstream to Bourdeilles. Restaurants and cafés with an extensive Friday market.

Out of high season it may be possible to be flexible with start dates and for shorter stays, long weekends.
All bedlinen & house towels provided.
A 25% deposit secures your booking, balance of payment and security deposit (£200) will be due 6 weeks before arrival.
A welcome pack of essentials -bottle wine, water, beers, tea, coffee, sugar, preserve, butter, bread will be waiting for you. Any other shopping may be arranged.
A welcome meal or any catering can be arranged.
This is a registered property and all receipts will be sent.
