Description of facilities: Internet connection As we live within a few miles of each of the houses you are free to come and use our PC to collect your E Mails. We have a seperate office in front of our house and you can access the web to pick up your messages there . If you prefer to go to an internet café then there is one in Ploermel which is less than15 minutes drive away.
Description inside property: La Maison Crème is a large spacious, detached house located right on the edge of the village of Reminiac in Southern Brittany. The property offers peace and quiet in a tranquil setting. Sleeps eight in four large bedrooms plus cot. Accommodation: Ground floor The front door opens into a large open plan kitchen/ dining room with a tiled floor all designed around the fireplace. The built in kitchen is well equipped (full size fridge freezer, cooker, washing machine, microwave, toaster, etc) The lounge area is through an archway to the left (which is where the photo of the dresser -below but one- is taken from) and has comfy settees, armchairs, stereo and a large (76cm) TV with a DVD player so you can bring your favourite films and play CD`s. From April.2006 there will be UK TV and radio (free channels i.e BBC1 & 2, ITV 1, News 24, CBeebies, CBBC, Men and Motors and loads more. Radio`s 1,2,3,4,5 Virgin, Heart etc,etc ). Moving into the hall there are doors to the downstairs bedroom (where there is a traditional oak double bed with matching oak bedside tables), the large bathroom (bath with shower) & separate WC. Stairs to first floor. Back door leads to the walled and gated rear garden. The first floor comprises three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms are twin single bedded rooms. The other is a double room with a double bed. A stairgate is available for use upstairs if required. The house has been recently refurbished with new appliances and furnishings. It is fully centrally heated with radiators in each room, although these are normally only needed in the low season (see booking info).
Description outside property: Outside there's a walled and gated front garden which is graveled and complete with BBQ and garden furniture. There is also a secluded enclosed (walled and gated), grassed back garden where you can sit in the shade of the pear tree, have a cold drink and take in the views across the fields. The single track road that runs past the house is shown below in both directions. In the distance on the other photo you can see where Reminiac village begins. You wont see many passing cars ! Private parking is to the side of the house and is off road.

Description of local area and activities: Its location makes it the perfect holiday spot for those wanting both the idyllic tranquillity of rural France together with the option of getting out and about and visiting the nearby towns and beaches. The village of Reminiac and its restaurant, bars, church, village shop (with fresh baguettes and cakes) is within three minutes walk.The nearest large town is mediaeval Malestroit, about five minutes away. Here you will find banks, supermarkets and restaurants in abundance.
The closest village is Reminiac -about one km away from Jaune, two hundred metres from Crème and two kilometres from Blanche and Orange - with the market towns of Guer, Malestroit, Ruffiac and Ploermel all within ten minutes drive.
The ancient city of Rennes is approximately forty minutes drive to the north-east whilst cosmopolitan Nantes is ninety minutes to the south. To the west, the fishing ports of Vannes and Damgan and their surrounding white sandy beaches are less than forty minutes by car.
The ports of St Malo, Caen and Cherbourg are one ish, two and a half and three hours drive respectively via generally deserted, toll free motorways. These run as far as Guer (ten minutes away) and are toll free. Calais is about five hours drive and the tolls add up to about thirteen pounds. Most (but not all) French toll booths take credit cards.
You can fly Gatwick to Nantes (BA and Flybe) in an hour for about £70 return. Flights also go from Luton (Ryan Air) and Manchester to Dinard (which is near the port of St Malo)
If you make a booking with us we can give you a number to quote which gives you preferential rates for P&O, Brittany Ferries and Euro Tunnel. We are told that the crossing prices are considerably less than if you book direct, however we suggest that you confirm this by getting other quotes as well.

Discounts are available for long term lets, please ring us. Day rates are sometimes available in low season.
