In high season the local lake with beach has a moored diving platform and lifeguard, free canoes & kayaks, cafés and a bar, boardwalk with picnic areas and fenced activity areas for smaller children, also carousel.

Forest activity centre is only 40 mins and an excellent day out.
The hamlet of Lapouge is 1 km from the village of St Estéphe which has a bakery, post office, general shop & mini market.
Le Grand Etang (Lake) at St Estephe has a diving platform moored off the beach, boardwalks and picnic areas. In high season there is a lifeguard and free canoes & kayaks.
Plenty of good local restaurants.
Piégut, 5 kms, has more facilities including banks & supermarkets, also has a huge market every Wednesday .
Nontron, 9 kms, is famous for knife making & the factory is open for visiting, has all main facilities and a market every Saturday.
Teyjat, 9 kms, European competition kart & quad track.
Brantome; Thiviers, Bourdielles, all about 30 mins drive, offer markets, historical and recreational interests.
The Grottes at Villars are well worth a visit, limestone crystal caves.
Angouleme & Perigueux approx 50kms.
Easy access from Limoges airport, 1 hr 15 mins, and Bergerac Airport, 1hr 30mins. Bordeaux approx 2hrs 15mins. |

Notes: Bookings are Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am but this is flexible by arrangement.
Off peak period is also flexible as long weekend or mid week breaks are available, also B&B.
A deposit of 25% is required to confirm your booking, the balance to be paid six (6) weeks before arrival, with a £200 returnable security deposit.
Full receipts will be sent for deposits and balance of payment, this is a fully registered property.
Bed linen and towels are inclusive, pool towels by arrangement.
A 'welcome pack' of essentials is included - bottle of wine, water, beers, tea, coffee, milk, sugar, bread, butter, preserve.
Any other shopping can be arranged.
