A large kitchen/dining room with electric cooker; microwave; fridge; table and 4 chairs; excellent range of crockery, cooking pans and pots, cutlery, etc. There is a small lounge area with TV including DVD and range of DVD's to watch, as well as the main English channels; books and games to play should the weather be wet! A shower room with toilet and sink. There is ample parking to the front of the property. In addition a private garden area with patio, patio furniture and umbrella; also barbeque for your private use.

| Notes: There is so much to do in the area. The gite is 10 minutes from Monflanquin, described as one of the most beautiful villages in France. The other 'bastide' villages of Villereal, Monpazier, Penne and Tournon are a short drive away. The bastide villages are medieval villages and full of character and interest. There is abseiling, fishing, canoeing and boating, horse-riding, swimming, archery, golf. There are chateaux and castles to visit as well as the famous vineyards at Bergerac and Cahors. In summer there are night markets, music festivals. There is a music festival in June and a Baroque week in Monflanquin in July. If you like bird-watching we have the hoopoe in spring, green and greater spotted woodpeckers, golden oriel, owls, nightingales and birds of prey. If you like walking then the area has mapped out 'randonee' walks from 10-25 kms in length. There are regular organised walks, including cycling with a bbq at the end if you want to join in! |
