Description inside property: From the small private garden enter into the Sitting Room with a period wood burning stove in an inglenook fireplace. Here you will find comfortable seating, French satellite T.V., video , CD player, a good selection of books and a south facing window making this a very light and sunny room in which to relax. Pass through into the Kitchen/Breakfast Room which has all modern appliances - gas cooker, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee machine and sharp knives that really cut - making 'eating in' a distinct pleasure! On into the Laundry room with a seperate Loo and Shower Room. Upstairs approached by a pretty wood staircase you will find 3 spacious and airy bedrooms, with a choice of double bed, single beds or bunk beds - the beds will be made up on arrival and have good quality linen and covers (included in the rental price). Here also is a Bathroom which is functional and unremarkable except that it is clean.
Description outside property: Mesmerising 180 deg. views over the Burgundian countryside with contented Charolais cows on the hill pastures and the nascent river Ource in the valley.The 9m x 4m x 2m(deep) private pool for your exclusive use has curved steps at one end, underwater lighting and will be heated to around 26 deg. (subject to weather conditions) between 14th June 2008 and 12th September 2008. At other dates the water temperature might be somewhat 'invigorating'. The pool area is paved, boasts a genuine Roman pillar thought to be from the 3rd century AD and is illuminated at night. Inflatable toys are provided as well as comfortable seating and sunloungers, parasols and an outside shower.
Description of eco friendly facilities: The swimming pool uses a 'heat exchanger' which, in the reverse way to air conditioning, extracts heat from the air to heat the water. In this way upto 12 kw of heat is available for just 2.2kw of electricity used.
We encourage you to recycle kitchen waste to the compost maker, take empty bottles to the bottle bank and use the recycle bags provided for paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and cans etc.
