Description inside property: BED AND BREAKFAST 50 EUROS 2 PERSONS IN ONE ROOM,1 night .FAMILY ROOMS CAN BE ARRANGED .RENTAL of THE WHOLE PROPERTY,as self catering, CAN BE ARRANGED .This property 2kms from the village of Le Lorey withTabac and shop.It was build in 1863 in the grounds of a land owners farmhouse,so we think some of the trees pre-date the building of this property which is set in 3 acres,consisting of a stone lined carp lake with a old summer house that is being restored.The lake is surrounded with trees and in the far corner,which is wild,past the bamboo jungle there lives a kingfisher family.See the swallows feeding off the lake and the heron over-head.Autumn and Winter are especially beautiful with the pine oaks and many other trees changing colour.In the spring there is an abundance of wild an wonderful flowers,We have been amazed to see wild orchids,100's of primroses,many kinds of violas and many more.There are 4bedrooms all large rooms,2 of which have a jack n'jill bathroom THERE IS a third and fourth bedrooms with an large ensuite shower toilet and hand basin.In the dinning room a large fireplace with a wood burning fire( with a door).Use of washing machine and tumble dryer if required.
This is ideal for house-hunting or if you are travelling stay here for peace.In this region there is a fantastic amount to enjoy and Important Historical places to visit.We are 50Mins from D-Day Landing Beaches,to the east (20mins) the coastal seaside towns and villages all along the west coast.A new casino at Agon-Coutainville,which also has sandy beach and lots to do. Coutances has a beautiful Cathederal.this is the town that has the "Jazz under the Apple Trees"every spring ,dancing in the streets,This is for all ages ,2-102+ ,Taste the wine and enjoy.The Tourist attractions are truely excellent.Also ; Walks,Cycling,paragliding ,wind-surfing,Go-carts with Sales, on the beach,ten-pin bowling,Leisure park with small steam engine to ride on,Golf ,Horse riding/shows,Tours and lots more.If you like boot sales you can get your rush at the "Vide Greniers" in the villages and towns throughout the year.If you want Peace and nature stock up and stay around the house,feed the carp by hand,watch the cheeky Red SquirrelsYou may see the visiting otter.
Description outside property: the property is over 3 arces with an old garden and a newly created garden over the little bridge.In the older part of the garden there is a stone-lined lake with many old trees around.There is a sweet chestnut tree( ready in time for Christmas)and a Chestnut (conker)tree.Swifts feed off the lake,red squirrels ,baby rabbits.An otter has been spotted twice.heron,many birds of prey.etc.
Description of eco friendly facilities: We do not use bleach, or poisons in the garden so you may find some parts a bit wild.There is a kingfisher family in the far corner past the bamboo jungle.The water is from a Well,don't panic we do not have to pump it up,it arrives automatically through a safe system and is certificated drinkable.
