Description of facilities: Fully equipped kitche. with 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 3 fridges. Adaptable tabling to seat up to 16. TV with freeview channels.
Description inside property: The salon of the Manoir epitomises French elegance with painted panelling, wood floors and antique furniture. There are plenty of sofas to relax in and the lovely stone fireplace provides the focal point of the room. A series of French doors lead onto the garden terrace where you can enjoy eating alfresco and watch the beautiful sunsets over the river.
The large kitchen leads from the salon and has recently been completely redone with natural chestnut cupboards, two larders and polished stone worktops. It is superbly equipped to make life at the stove as stress free as possible with two ovens, two diswashers and three fridges and has a large dining area leading through french doors onto the garden terrace with beatiful views over the river valley.
From the kitchen you enter the hall and then the kids room with TV again leading to the terrace.
The bedrooms are charming, prettily decorated and full of character. The two main double rooms have fabric covering on the walls and are both en suite whilst the large twin has a further sitting room through its bathroom. Two staircases at either end of the corridor allow a degree of peace with children being able to come and go when they like.
The rear of the corridor leads out onto the courtyard which used to be the original square of the village. Josephine Baker's husband had a restaurant here which now is a games room with pool and table tennis and is a great venue for frivolity and completely self contained. Steps to the side will bring you back round to the garden.
The swimming pool is at the side of the garden, has plenty of chaise longues and looks down over the valley. There is a large lime tree in the garden which makes the ideal shade to have a snooze after a few glasses of wine at lunch.
Description outside property: With the Chateau des Milandes forming a spectacular backdrop and its breathtaking views over the Dordogne, Les Milandes is a wonderful location in one of the most picturesque regions of France.
Seperate games room witjh table tennis and pool.
Adjoins three other properties which can be rented together to sleep up to 24 for family parties, reunions and anniversaries.
