The bathroom has a standard sized bath, wash basin and toilet and is situated on the ground floor. There is a seperate toilet and a shower room with a shower unit, basin and a bidet.
The main living area contains a large antique dining table which easily seats 8 people and can be extended to accommodate up to 12.
The kitchen is within the living area, so the cook never has to feel left out. The cooker has a gas hob and electric oven. There is plenty of cutlery, crockery, a tea pot, caffetiere & wine glasses.
Large patio outside the house which is partially shaded and has exterior furniture, a built in BBQ and an ancient bread oven. The patio has pretty views across the valley and is totally private.

The cottage has a private swimming pool which is alarmed to meet French safety laws. It also has a natural hedge around it for extra safety for children. The garden is big enough to enjoy outdoor games and there is also a large meadow and woodland to explore. Both the pool and garden are maintained throughout the summer by a friendly English man who will help should any problems occur.

Description of local area and activities: Salviac is a comfotable walk away or a few minutes in the car, where you will find all amenities, restaurants, bars, shops including a small supermarket. Also there is a doctors and pharmacy and tourist info with internet facilities. There is a public swimming pool and tennis court at the campsite in salviac.
Horse riding, cycle hire and golf are all available with the nearest golf course being Montflucon which overlooks the river Dordogne. |
