Description inside property: Les Vallées Gite is a 100 year old traditional Breton longere (long-house) stone and slate farmhouse that has been tastefully renovated into a comfortable and relaxing family holiday home that will be exclusively yours for your stay with us.
Our farmhouse Gite has retained many of the original features such as massive oak beams, a wood burning fire and traditional tiled floors; whilst we've worked hard to make it a 'home from home' with Sky TV, video and board-games in the lounge, central heating and a fully fitted kitchen with everything you'd expect to find at home (even including sandwich boxes for picnic's and kid's plates and cutlery for the little ones)!

Description of local area and activities: Brittany is a great place to holiday with lots to see and do for all the family throughout the year.
There's lush rolling countryside where the stresses of life take a back-seat, picturesque harbours and street-side cafes, wide sandy beaches, historic medieval castles and mighty chateau's, Celtic traditions, standing stones and megaliths at Carnac as well as many festival's and fete's throughout the year.
Food and drink play a major part of French life and Brittany is no different in this respect, plus there are many delicious regional dishes such as buckwheat Crepe's and sweet galette pancakes, Breton cake, cider, and of course a fantastic range of seafood caught locally. Most towns have regular street markets where you can buy straight from the farmer.
Les Vallees Gite is perfectly situated in the centre of Brittany to enjoy the best that Brittany has to offer. We're 2 miles from the nearby town of La Cheze, 8 miles from the market town of Loudeac and 12 miles from Medieval Josselin with the Gothic Chateau towering over the river. Only 30-40 minutes drive away are both the North and South Brittany coasts with the bays of St Brieuc and Vannes.
Getting to the Gite is easy with local airports at Dinard, Rennes, Brest and Lorient all being about an hour's drive away.
Alternatively you can take a ferry from the UK or Ireland to St Malo, Roscoff, Cherbourg, Caen or Calais.

Notes:
The rental price is fully inclusive of heating, electricity, water and bed linen. Towels are not included as standard but are available as an optional £5 per person.
We ask for 25% deposit on booking and the balance (plus £100 refundable security deposit) 8 weeks before your holiday start.
