Description of local area and activities: The area abounds with forests, lakes and wild life with the nearest leisure lake being only 3 miles away. Only 2 miles away is the Toul Goulic in an area of outstanding beauty. This is one of Brittany's most picturesque spots, where the Blavet river disappears beneath impressive rock formations with a subterranean roar. The area is ideal for fishing, walking, horse riding and only a 20 minute drive away is Brittany's largest lake (Lac de Guerledan) with sandy beaches, water sports, boat trips and restaurants. The Nantes/Brest canal is approx 10 miles away and cycling or lovely walks and scenery abound. Take a stroll through one of the market towns nearby to enjoy the Brittany-style markets offering locally-grown produce, cheeses, bread, fresh fish and cooked meats. Rostrenen has a market every Tuesday and Callac on Wednesday.
The lovely north coast beaches are less than 1 hours drive away. There is a Leisure centre at Loudeac (Les Aquatides) with 70 metre giant waterslide swirling river, play area for toddlers with fountain, paddling pool and mini pool.
