The house boasts a roof terrace with elevated, spectacular and panoramic vistas of the Province of Cadiz and nestles on a very quiet and peaceful cobbled street high up in the best part of town - the Old Quarter. The bustling Main Street is only a couple of hundred metres away, with its bars, restaurants, banks and shops. A traditional Spanish townhouse, yet with all modern amenities including Internet Broadband with new laptop, two independent satellite TVs, it would be absolutely perfect for couples who enjoy outdoor activities and, later on, relish their own space and privacy in this Spanish speaking town. This fully equipped house has been re–roofed, re-wired, re-plumbed and a new kitchen and bathroom installed. New double glazing, with air conditioning in the master bedroom, oil radiators and gas heater, ensure cool summer nights and cosy winters.

Olvera is well worth a visit for hikers, bird watchers, cyclists, photographers, etc. and the 35km `Via Verde` level cycle/walking trail is a must. Horse riding, quad biking, paragliding and a photography school are available in the area also. The traditional Spanish towns all have a penchant for holding teeming festivals on every possible occasion so you will be sure to bump into one by chance or design.


Accessibility

This townhouse is situated on a steep street and has two sets of stairs inside so would not be suitable for those people who have walking difficulties. Parking on street is usually available but be prepared to park at the bottom of the street and walk up.

Rooftop terrace with spectacular views for dining and sunbathing. The open air town swimming pool is available to use during the hot summer months. Good mobile telephone reception.

Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, massive built-in wardrobe that contains a new cot with new bedding, stunning views, new, quiet, air conditioning/heating unit and Freeview Satellite TV.

Bedroom 2/Study has a new single bed, oil radiator and double change linen supplied, two bookcases with an eclectic range of books, maps,guides and games (Poker, T.P., etc.), a new PC laptop with Broadband ISP hooked up and FOC.

Bathroom: New bathroom situated on roof terrace with stand alone shower, bath with screen and shower over, toilet, bidet, wash hand basin, cabinets, mirrors, hairdryer and radiator.

Kitchen: All new appliances - Gas hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, kettle, toaster, toasted sandwich maker, small coffee machine, fridge/freezer, pots & pans, crockery, cutlery, glasses, Bose CD/radio, iron/ironing board.

The roof terrace comes with a large table, 4 reclining chairs and parasol. The terrace and has outside lighting and power supply for Bose CD/radio.

Additional Information

Description of local area and activities: There is a minor treatment facility and ambulance service along with GPs, pharmacies, opticians and dentists in Olvera town, so every eventuality is catered for. Ronda town is c. 40 mins drive away and has a large, modern hospital with a 24 hour Accident and Emergency department. The local English key holder/cleaner (who also runs the photography school!) can direct you to anywhere you wish to go as she is only a phone call away and lives in Olvera. There are two different types of Police based in Olvera, plus a Police Academy, so disturbances or crime of any sort is not an issue in this town. The locals are very warm and friendly in this centuries old, medieval mountain town. Broadband internet is available in The Tartan Bar @ Bar Pepe Rayas, Town Hall square, just up the street.

A non refundable deposit of 50% is required upon booking. The rest of the monies to be paid no later than one week before the arrival date. Crossed cheques are requested. A phone call to my keyholder when you are about 10 minutes from Olvera and she will meet you at an obvious location, bring you to the house and show how everything works. Short notice bookings taken provided funds clear first.


Changeover day is flexible to suit guests. Please try and arrive before 6pm and try to leave before 12 noon so the house can be fully prepared as I insist that it always be presented tidy and hygenically clean. Towels/linen provided.
