Description of facilities:
Casa Mariposa Blanca is nestled in its own grounds of Spanish oak and surrounded by olive groves. It is perfectly situated to explore all that Andalucia has to offer in terms of culture, cuisine and entertainment.
Although newly restored we have reflected the traditional and rustic nature of the casa, whilst providing our guests with all the comforts for modern day living. Our casitas have been renovated to a high standard, with tasteful decorations and complementing furniture.
We have two self catering casitas set in an idyllic location for guests seeking a taste of traditional Spain, tranquility and relaxation.
The grounds include several terraces, all for the sole use of our guests and our beautiful 7mx4m pool, with terrace and shaded gazebo area.
Notes on accommodation
We can provide fans during the summer, if required, however being traditionally built the casitas are naturally cool. Both casitas are non-smoking, however you are welcome to smoke on the outside terraces. The casitas are cleaned weekly, along with a fresh supply of linen and towels. All towels are provided including poolside. Other amenities provided include, cool boxes, hairdryers, clothes airers and a list of over 100 DVD titles.

With double bed, bedside tables and large built in wardrobe.

Beautifully tiled, large shower, wash basin and wc.
Spacious open plan kitchen, lounge:
Traditionally built Andalucian kitchen with breakfast bar and bar stools, including oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and full range of cookware.
Comfortably furnished lounge area:
With armchair, 2 seat sofa, coffee table ,book-shelf with selection of books, satellite TV, DVD/CD player, central heating through-out for cooler months.
Description outside property: The casa and casitas are set in 3 acres of land mainly consisting of Spanish oak trees. There are many other secluded terraces around the grounds providing private, tranquil and shaded areas for our guests that prefer their own space.
Our pool has large wide steps for our guests who prefer to sit and cool off rather than swim, solar heated poolside shower and shaded gazebo area
The 1 bedroom casita benefits from its own private 6mx10m terrace, sun loungers, outside table chairs and parasol, BBQ and shaded area for those extra hot days.
Additional Information
Description of local area and activities: The lakeside beach of Iznajar is only 10 minutes drive from Mariposa Blanca and benefits from a beach side bar. The more commercialised beaches of the Costa del Sol are only 1 hours drive.

Notes: Fishing is available on lake Iznajar. Horse riding is available in Salinas, which is a 10 minute drive from Mariposa Blanca. Walking, there are numerous mapped walks through-out the very picturesque Subbetica National park to suit amblers through to hikers. Bird watching tours are available in the Granada and surrounding area. If you are particularly interested in any of the above activities, please tell us when booking and we will do our best to assist you with any arrangements.
