Doors leading off from the dining room takes you into the 1st Ground floor bedroom with double bed, single bed on mezzanine and a chair guest bed suitable for a child, 2nd Ground floor bedroom has a kingsize bed, cot and fold out single bed. with patio doors leading onto the south facing terrace.
Up the stairs to the 1st bedroom with bunk beds for children, 2nd bedroom has double bed plus chair guest bed suitable for a child and cabinette de toilette (sink and bidet), 3rd bedroom upstairs has double bed and cabinette de toilette (sink and bidet) Upstairs also has independent toilet on landing.Child safte

Description of local area and activities: There is something for everyone in and around Bretignolles. Plenty for Adults as well as children.
The house is just 200 metres from the long stretch of beach which is Bretignolles sur Mer, from the Dunes through to the Rocky wild coast line heading to St Gilles. where you can safely swim, delve into rock pools, surf, windsail, kite surf, sailing, fishing, or just sun bathe in different areas along Bretignolle's coastline which stretches for about 13kms from Les Sables D'Olonne to St Gilles Croix de Vie.
Bretignolle's Children's playpark is just 5 minute walk away and just behind that is a fabulous salt water lake, with its surrounding beaches, where young children can paddle or swim in safety. Water is changed twice a day with the tides. Again for children, just a quick trip in the car takes you to many Adventure Parks, Water Parks, Theme Parks, Horse Riding, Go Karting, Quad Biking, Paintballing to name just a few.
The area is proud of its 150km of Cycle path network, which is terrific if you havent ridden a bike for a while or are nervous with children learning to cycle. Cycle hire is close by in Bretignolles and the cycle path can be accessed just 200 metres from the house.
Welcoming bars and restaurants are between 3, 5, and 10 minutes walk away. Sunday is market day, Thursdays too in the summer. Local products, delicious country fare, fresh seafood, wonderful local vegetables and of course the wine.
3 good Golf Sites are just a short drive away.
So much to see in the surrounding areas of St Gilles Croix de Vie Port or Les Sables D'Olonne Town. The Vendee is full of history, with castles and manor houses. Floral Parks, Velo Rail. Nearby is a superb area for painting or bird watching on the salt marshes.
Take a coach trip from Bretignolles or just a short one hour drive from the famous Puy de Fou Park where you can experience one of the best Theme Parks and Sound & Lighting Shows with Firework Displays available in France.

Notes: Cycling - On safe cycle paths along the coast line and the countryside. Excellent network of cycle paths throughout this area which you can join at the end of the road from where the house is situated, just 200 metres away.
Bird Watching - The area is a migratory path for many species. Avocets, Terns, Lapwings. Herons, Egrets and other marshland birds all have been spotted nesting in the area.
