| Description of local area and activities: The area is renowned for green tourism. There is a wonderful cheese, wine and brocante trail that leads into the fabulous Puy de Dome where the Vulcania themed exhibition should not be missed. The town of Vichy is famous for watersports, horse racing and of course the waters and thermal baths. The shopping is great as well and the hypermarket provides for all needs including great wines and champagne at better prices than Northern France. Horses can be hired for mountain trekking, tennis and boules are available in the village. A day trip to Lyon is a must and the various restaurants in the area provide fabulous meals at reasonable prices. Full details of all activities are to be found in a file in the sitting room. |
