Bikes are available to hire by the day or week and are delivered and collected from your cottage.
Description inside property: Plum Tree is one of four cottages that have been restored to provide
modern conveniences whilst retaining all the charm of a typical French farmhouse.
Leaving in lots of the original features, like granite walls and exposed oak beams.
Plum Tree Cottage - The ground floor consists of an open plan lounge/ kitchen /dining area, so Mum doesn't feel left out of the holiday and stuck in the kitchen.
The comfortable lounge/ dining area has a log burner, some granite walls and exposed oak beams.
The well equipped kitchen area has a door leading to a covered veranda.
The 1st floor has a shower room and 2 bedrooms, a large double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds both with granite walls and exposed oak beams.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and well equipped, a real home from home.
A perfect place for all the family to unwind, either by the pool or under a tree with a good book and a glass of wine.
There is a separate patio with garden furniture, sun canopy and a BBQ.
Description outside property: La Basse Rouerie is a traditional Breton farmhouse and Longere that dates back 600 years in parts.
It has two and a half acres of gardens with open views over undulating farmland.
There is a private patio area but the communal patio area has a brick BBQ, the ideal place for parents to get to know one another, while the kids play. We have had many an enjoyable evening with a BBQ and a few drinks.
The heated above ground pool is made of teak to fit in with the surroundings in the orchard. The pool is open from May - September.
The gardens are the ideal place to either relax by the pool, have a picnic under a tree, or just sit and read a good book while sipping a glass a wine.
There is a badminton net, swings, boules pit, swing ball, football net, and basketball net in the gardens, along with numerous games.
In the covered veranda area there is table tennis, table soccer and a darts board.
The gardens are large and safe enough for children to play.
Just down the lane there is an 18 km Patrimoine walk through lovely countryside.
Description of eco friendly facilities
We have renovated using the original materials from the barns ie wood & granite.
The toilets have low water use and the vegetable waste is used to feed the pigs and composting.

Description of local area and activities: St Malo - An old Corsair Port with a walled town full of seafood restaurants, souvenir shops and pedestrianised ramparts that offer a fantastic views of the port and the miles of sandy beaches.
Cancale - A small picturesque fishing town, famous for its oysters and seafood, plus there are some wonderful walks along rugged coastal paths.
Mont St Michel - The 8th wonder of the world . A magnificent abbey perched on an island joined to the mainland by a causeway. The abbey stands above a village, which is full of shops and restaurants, it is spectacular at night. Tours of the abbey are available in most languages.
Rennes - The capital of Brittany, a university city, which was ravaged by a huge fire in 1720. The beautiful 17th century Palais de Justice and medieval Place des Lices (Jousters Square) are well worth a visit for the half-timbered buildings.
Dinan - A medieval stronghold overlooking the exceptional Vallée de la Rance, Dinan is undeniably one of the most exquisite cities of Brittany. Still entirely surrounded by its ramparts, it has belfries, churches, convents, timbered houses and narrow streets disclosing their secrets as you go along.
Fougeres - Overlooking vast green countryside Fougeres has retained all of the grandeur of it's glorious past. The 12th century Chateau was an outpost of medieval Brittany and one of the biggest and best-preserved fortifications in Europe. Fougeres old town still contains wooden buildings and hosts of shops and restaurants.
