Horse Racing From September to June horse racing at the Hipodromo Costa del Sol returns to every other Sunday mornings as the weather cools down, instead of the summertime schedule of Saturday evenings. The races begins at 10.30 at the custom-built racetrack which is a popular spot with the general public as well as racing fans as there are restaurants and bars aplenty which are open all day even though the weekly racing lasts for around 3 hours. There are also courses for horsing knowledge, perfectioning and competition, jumping and individual or group lessons. For more information phone 952 592 700 or ask us for their web site details.

Tivoli even has its own currency - the 'tivolino'. There is plenty to keep the whole family occupied here... Recent additions to the park include Tivolilandia and Tivoli Agua; the former is an infant area with 11 rides and other attractions specially adapted for very small children and babies; the latter is a water mountain flume ride which opened last year and has proved very popular. There are also regular concerts and flamenco shows, and even wild West shows to keep you well entertained. There is also a superb range of restaurants Texan to Russian and Italian.
Entrance to the park is 4,50€. If you are only visiting a performance in the theatre you must still pay the park entrance fee.

The shorter South Course requires precision - rewarding accuracy rather than distance. The North Course is a championship layout characterised by wide fairways and varying tee positions where a long drive is a distinct advantage. The course has that tropical Southern States of America feel, with large bunkers, rolling fairways and guarded greens.
Facilities include a driving range into a lake, 6 hole par 3 course, swimming pool, tennis & squash courts. |
