Description inside property: Welcome to Quelvéhin, a collection of old stone farm buildings comprising of our farmhouse and two cottages for rental, nestled in over five hectares of pasture and woodland with a labyrinth of pathways right outside your door.
The gîte is fully-heated, insulated and double-glazed, tastefully decorated and furnished, with many fine antique pieces. Books and games are provided and DVDs available on request. There is a large paved south-facing terrace with outdoor dining furniture, BBQ and a petanque/boules piste under shady mature trees. Sheets, ironing boards, irons and hairdryers are included, and laundry facilities available at main house if required. We also have a few bicycles you are welcome to borrow.

KITCHEN. Well-equipped with range of oak units. Gas cooker, microwave/combination oven, dishwasher,fridge.
DINING AREA.
SITTING ROOM. Separate sitting room with log-burning stove, TV/DVD player, hi-fi and double bed settee.
BATHROOM 1. With shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.
Stairs to large first floor landing with extra small child’s bed.
BATHROOM 2. With large shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.
BEDROOM 1. With two single beds,wardrobe and chest of drawers.
BEDROOM 2. With one kingsized bed,wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Logs are available ‘on site’. Electricity is charged separately via a meter. Regrettably we cannot accept pets and the accommodation is non-smoking.
All prices are per week Sat-Sat. Arriving after 4pm, departing by 11am.
Weekday changeovers can sometimes be arranged mid- or low-season.
ACTIVITIES AND LOCATION
Quelvehin's setting makes it ideal for nature lovers, with deer, red squirrels, woodpeckers, rabbits and buzzards all regular visitors to the garden. It’s a haven for ramblers, or there’s off-road biking for the more energetic.
The property is also the home of 'Quelvehin Alpagas' our small breeding herd of Peruvian alpacas to charm and amuse you.
Situated in an isolated and tranquil setting, peace and quiet are guaranteed, and yet it’s only three kilometres from the pretty village of Malguénac with its shop, boulangerie, bars and crêperie.
Five kilometres in the opposite direction takes you to Pontivy, a fine Napoleonic town built around the river Blavet and boasting many attractions including a château and many fine restaurants amongst the narrow streets of half-timbered buildings. There is also a superb outdoor swimming pool complex open during July and August.
Being centrally situated you have access to all coastlines,the nearest being Larmor plage in the south(about 45mins)or Binic 'up north'(1hr10mins)both are superb beaches and easy to get to,plus many others too.Or you could stay closer to home and relax on the man-made beaches that line the edge of the Lac du Guerledan,swim in the lake or take a boat ride.The historic towns of Vannes,Josselin,Auray and others are all only a short drive away.
