Accommodation FIRST FLOOR
First Floor The entrance to the Gite is situated on the first terrace. As you enter Soleil Brille you will find:
A spacious oak beamed, lounge and dining room with old stoned walls. In the lounge/diner you will find comfortable arm chairs, a three seater sofa, a TV unit with books and games for all ages, a TV and DVD player (a limited selection of DVDs is available) and , a radio.
For those chilly evenings or cold winter days there is also a log burner (fire wood provided).
Leading off from the Lounge/Diner is... The Kitchen, which is equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dish washer, washing machine, iron and ironing board. Everything you could need for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
There is a door leading off to... Bedroom 1:1 double bed, large wardrobe, bedside table with light and dresser.
On the same level is a shower room, with shower cubical, W/C and hand basin.


Accommodation GROUND FLOOR
Follow the stairs down from the living room to the other bedrooms and shower room. Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds, bed side table in between beds with table lamp, drawer unit and small wardrobe with mirror.
Bedroom 3 with 1 double bed, bedside table with lamp, unit with drawers and mirror.
Each Bedroom downstairs has an heater for those cooler nights.
The downstairs shower room has a large walk in shower cubicle with thermostatically controlled shower, W/C and hand basin.
All household linen is provided (bed linen, shower and hand towels) but you are kindly asked to bring your own swimming towels.
For 2 week bookings and over a fresh set of linen and towels will be provided each week

Nontron, in the heart of the Perigord Vert, is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside and offers an ideal base for visiting the many wonderful places to be found in this part of the Dordogne such as Brantome; the Venice of the Aquitaine, Bourdeille et PA few of the fetes during the year are:
-Fête des Soufflets (April)
-Fête Africaine (July)
- Fête du couteau (August)
- Fête du Jazz (August)
-Salon des antiquaires (November)uyguilhem Chateaux and the grottes at Villars.
The famous Nontron knife with its boxwood handle is still produced in Nontron using the same methods as in the 15th century. You can visit the strikingly modern factory with shop which overhangs the gorge. Take a trip to Nontron famous for the manufacture of its high quality knives.

Every year at the beginning of August the town hosts France's major two day knife festival with demonstrations of traditional blacksmith's skills.

The lakes at St Matheiu and St Estephe offer picnic sites, sandy beaches and water sports for an enjoyable family day out.

St. Jean de Cole, (reputed to be one of the prettiest villages in France), and 5 minutes from Chateau Puyguilhem and the famous Grotte de Villars with their prehistoric cave paintings. There are lots of interesting Chateaux to visit in close proximity to us.

A stone's throw away are restaurants for all tastes and pockets ranging from gourmet dishes of the region, to pizza and pasta.

In 2008 a new lesisure center is to open,the center will include an indoor heated swimming pool and gym.

There are several large markets every week,the nearest are Nontron(Saturday), Piegut(Wednesday)which offer the specialities of the region. and Brantome(Friday)We are ideally located for visiting Brantome, affectionately known as "The Little Venice of the Perigord Vert".
Saturday; Market town of Thiviers with the "musee de foie gras".
