Description inside property: The lounge has comfortable seating for 5 and a woodburner for heating in the winter months. A mini HiFi system, DVD and video player along with a good selection of DVDs, videos, books and games are there for your enjoyment.

Through the lounge is the large kitchen diner. The well equipped kitchen has a gas oven, washing machine, microwave and fridge. The dining area has a round pine pedetal table and seating for 5.

The shower room downstairs has a shower cubicle, vanity washbasin unit and toilet.

Stairs from the kitchen lead to the 2 bedrooms (double and a twin). On the landing is a single bed which can be screened off with a full length curtain in effect creating a 3rd bedroom.

Description outside property: The property, Champ Giraud, is set in an acre of land which is mainly grass. Outside the front of Sunset cottage is a patio and a terrace runs along the side of the house. There is a garden table, chairs and a parasol on each area and a barbeque for outdoor eating on those long hot sunny days and warm evenings. Outdoor games (tennis, badminton, football, boules etc) are provided. The above ground pool is shared with Sunrise Cottage, the other cottage on site. It is 4.5 metres in diameter and 1.6 metres deep.

Relax outside with a glass of local wine on a warm summer evening and look at the spectacular night skies. Due to no light pollution over the area you can see the stars in their thousands.

The sunrise is worth getting up for too!

Description of local area and activities: Description of local area and activities: With easy access to the RN10 we are ideally placed for visits to Angouleme, Poitiers (Futuroscope), Limoges, Bordeaux, La Rochelle and the west coast sandy beaches. Locally within a few kilometers is canoeing on the river Charente, river and lake bathing. The village of Verteuil has a tennis court for public use. Right on the doorstep you have quiet lanes for walking and cycling

Notes: The cottage is available to book in units of a week from Saturday to Saturday. Prices are inclusive of all bed linen, kitchen linen and towels. Please bring your own beach/pool towels. In the lower season months and depending on availability we can take bookings with different changeover days. A £100 security deposit against damage/breakages is required. The cottage is available for longer lets during the winter months October - April. Please contact us for rates.
