Description inside property: The Pigeonnaire which started life as a small 2 roomed peasants house has been gutted and rebuilt incorporating a stunning Pigeonnaire. The master bedroom which is formed by the tower is spacious whilst remaining pleasantly cool in the summer. Exiting the master bedroom onto a landing where the solid locally hand made wrought iron spiral staircase and full circular handrail grace the space.
Stepping down into a spacious and very light bathroom with power shower, hand basin and toilet.
Down stairs there is a large L shaped living space which incorporates the sitting room and Kitchen dining area.
There are two entrances to the main living space, one the main entrance which is an authentic split opening and the large French Doors onto the terrace.
Leading from the sitting area is a short passage to the down stairs bedroom.
Again spacious and light with two authentic antique French beds.
There is a separate door straight onto the terrace.
Description outside property: This property offers total peace and tranquility with total privacy. Only accessable via its own 300m long track.
We have no close neighbours and there are only a spattering of stone farms visible in the distance.
The terrace faces the setting sun and the whole orientation of the property makes the best of the summer sunshine with cool shaded breakfast to lovely warm sunset evening meals.
Parents have total peace of mind by having full view of the exclusive pool from the terrace 20 yards away.
Walking is so easy from the property and you do not even have to touch a road if you do not want to as a cheming forms the boundary to our land. Turn left out of our track and walk to Monflanquin for lunch with only a very short stretch of road before you reach the quiet bastide town.
If you prefer you walk withing the 20 acre estate at will. Pass through the lower meadow and try and glimpse our resident pair of Red Squirells or maybe a Hoopoe.
There are dear as well and if you are really lucky you might glimpse a wild boar.
The owners who live permanently on the estate keep a well stocked veg garden so if the season is right you may even be able to pick fresh tomatoes straight to the table or perhaps take the children to our own duck pond for your breakfast eggs.

Notes: Villeneuve sur lot Golf and Country Club is a 20 minute drive through the prune orchards. Green fees are approx 50 euros PP per day.
It is a long walk and the 2nd half is hilly so a buggy might be in order.
There is also a small 9 hole testing course with good greens if you cant handle the heat and the exertion.
There is a small 18 hole golf course towards Bergerac suitable for children. |
