Description of facilities: We have table tennis, two bicycles from 9 years upward, 2 new adult Bicycles, and four body boards for surfing. Also a set of boule balls. Scrabble and Monopoly, jigsaws, and books. Many cassettes and DVDs available. In the adjoining field, we have two horses, a shetland, and a goat, who all like to be fed by children! Dogs are welcome, there are some lovely walks for them.

Two conservatories, one shaded all day, close to the swimming pool.with fridge and icecube machine.and glass doors which slide to open up the front by 66%. Marble, terrazzo and ceramic floors with loose rugs. throughout, Bedroom 2 has on-suite power shower and washbasin. Facing the pool and surround is a CCTV camera which transmits picture and sound to a 21" monitor in the kitchen for parents peace of mind! For eating indoors the kitchen seats ten{12 at a pinch!] there is a second kitchen/lounge at the east end of the house. This section can be divided up to create a separate appartment with 3 bedrooms, with its own front door.The conservatories seat six in each, and the outside table by the barbecue seats twelve. Description outside property: A large secluded garden with lawn, beautiful shrubs, fruit trees[apricot, fig, apple, cherry, and two types of plum, and woods with dozens of poplars. There is a river for fishing seventy yards away in this quiet hamlet of ten houses. The pool is a walk in type with three steps, the shallow end 3ft and the deep end 6ft. Shopping is five minutes away in Gemozac, or St-Andre-de-Lidon. The house is suitable for elderly people in three of the downstairs bedrooms.

Description of local area and activities: We are close to Royan, Saintes, Cognac, The famous vineyards of Bordeaux and the Medoc, are accessible by ferry from Royan. There is excellent shopping in Saintes and Royan .There is a large supermarket in Gemozac, just eight minutes away, also a Lidls. Local restaurants are excellent and very reasonably priced. Our nearby restaurant in St-Andre-de-Lidon will deliver to the house free of charge, their full menu, or just pizzas! at less than menu prices, as they do not charge VAT on takeaways! They also have an outside terrasse.Cravans has an excellent lunchtime restaurant, which has a four course menu with wine for 13 euros! Just outside Gemozac is the restaurant La Roze, which has a garden for outside eating, and a children's play area. Also in Gemozac is La Florentine pizza restaurant/take away, very good! The Caravelle restaurant has good value food also. The Lion D'Or hotel has very good, slightly more expensive food.Royan has many fine restaurants. St.Andre has a small general store, and a bakery and post office.
