We consider ourselves a 'child-friendly' holiday destination. We can provide some of those 'bulky' items that are difficult to pack for a holiday (travel cots, high-chairs, toys, baby baths, stair-gate, etc.) - just let us know what you need when booking and we will do our best to provide it.
Description inside property: Welcome to Vacances Vertes les Belles, our beautiful self-catering holiday house / gite in the rural Limousin region of central France - the "land of a thousand lakes".
Entirely renovated, the interior is tasteful and bright, with many original features, stunning oak flooring and original artwork.
· There are 6 comfortable bedrooms (sleeping a maximum of 14 people), 5 of which have private bathrooms.
· The ground-floor is accessible to wheelchairs.
· There is a large kitchen that is fully equipped for groups who enjoy eating in - we provide ample crockery, a large gas oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, huge table...
· Adjoining the kitchen is the spacious lounge, where you can relax in front of the satellite television (with DVD player), or chat to friends in comfort.
· The large, private garden and terrace overlook the peaceful Limousin countryside and is the perfect setting for a relaxing glass of wine.
· All linen, towels, electricity and central heating (in winter!) are included in the rental price.
· This is definitely a child-friendly holiday rental and we are happy to provide items to make your holiday a little easier e.g. toys, high-chairs, cots…
This beautiful village rental is situated in the picturesque village of St Germain les Belles, just 30 minutes south of the city of Limoges - the village has some great local shops, restaurants and a family-friendly swimming lake (with bar and restaurant – a really lively place to be in summer!)
Description outside property: On the terrace, the large dining table is the perfect location for dining al fresco. There is also a large, family-friendly garden, with superb views out onto the gorgeous countryside.
Description of eco friendly facilities: We offer a free recycling service to all visitors and encourage that all food waste is placed on the compost heap. The owners live down the road at the nearby farm of Las Combas and are happy to show all visitors their solar-heating system, their wood-fuelled central heating, organic vegetable garden and organically reared free-range chickens and geese. We also offer a range of residential courses that are based on the environment, including Organic Vegetable Gardening.
We only clean (and provide) environmentally-friendly cleaning products.

Description of local area and activities: Limousin has been called the 'French Lake District' and will offer you some of the most unspoilt, natural landscapes in France. You are never far from a lake or the huge network of meandering country walks across rolling hills and forests – come and experience a slower pace of life and true, rural French culture.
The abundance of lakes and rivers within Limousin also means that including the fantastic canoeing and sailing locations, it is also a great location for a fishing holiday in France.
We are also only 30 minutes away from the attractive city of Limoges - famous for its porcelain and old quarter. Discover the abundance of interesting boutiques, medieval churches, restaurants, antique markets… it is definitely well worth a visit.

Notes: By celebrating our environment in some way, we aim to inspire and encourage learning in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
We feel that Limousin is the perfect base from which to run courses that focus on the environment. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful countryside but also by many communities who, to some degree, really do 'live off the land'. Small-scale farming is predominant in our area and peoples' lives are dictated by true seasons.

Notes: At present, there are no fixed arrival / departure days and it is possible to rent the house out for periods shorter than a week (i.e. per night).
Individual room rates
Please enquire if you would like to rent individual rooms as this might be possible out of high season.
We charge €45 per room, per night - please enquire for availability.
All linen and towels are included in the price.
Booking instructions
We ask for a 25% deposit for all bookings and that full payment is received 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you make a booking with less than 8 weeks to go, please send payment as soon as possible. We accept:
