Var

The Var, takes its name from the Var River which used to flow along its eastern boundary, is a department of Provence, south of France.

Towns

Frejus is an elegant town of architectural, artistic and historical interest. Here you will find one of the oldest Roman Amphitheatres of Gaul. There is a Memorial museum here dedicated to the 1944 Allied Landings in the region of Provence.
